Little Church, San Antonio

In 1879 German Methodists constructed this Gothic Revival church in the La Villita area. The tiny church features carved pegs carved by a Norwegian sailor; the building also has lancet-shaped casement windows.

The Methodist church was purchased by the Episcopal diocese of West Texas in 1895 then by the City of San Antonio in 1945.

Today the church offers worship services and is often the site of weddings.

Hours: The church is open for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Church services are held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Location: La Villita, 508 Villita, downtown San Antonio
