Texas for Families
What's your favorite recipe for a successful family
vacation? Sun, sand and surf? Historic and educational sights? Plenty
of activity and sports challenge? Natural attractions? When to Go As family vacationers, the timing of your vacation
will probably rely as much on your children's school schedules as
on your travel desires. For those with preschool children, however,
or families with flexible schedules, the fall and spring months
can be some of Texas's most temperate months. You'll find that many
community festivals are scheduled during these seasons, and attractions
are less crowded than during the summer months. (The exception is
the Texas coast during Spring Break, when thousands of students
crowd South Padre Island.)
