All aboard for a truly ‘moving’ holiday experience as the pages of the contemporary Christmas classic The Polar Express™ come to life at the Texas State Railroad in Palestine.
Just like the little passengers who travel to the North Pole in author Chris Van Allsburg’s story, kids can wear their snuggly PJs as the choo choo merrily chugs on tracks that lead to Santa.
Once the train departs the decorated depot, families who have their tickets punched by the conductor can nibble on Christmas cookies and sip hot chocolate as they listen to a reading of The Polar Express™ and tap their toes to tunes from the popular animated movie.
Reaching the North Pole, Santa Claus and his elves will hop on board to sing carols with the kids and give each good little boy and girl a present– a sleigh bell, which only believers in the spirit of Christmas can hear.
The Polar Express™ train ride at The Texas State Railroad leaves the station for the first time on November 16th and runs periodically through the end of December. A popular Palestine attraction, don’t get sidetracked by the hustle and bustle of the holiday season– move your caboose and book your journey early!
When: November 16 – 18, 23rd – 25th and November 30th; December 1st – 2nd, 7th – 23rd and 26th – 29th
Where: The Texas State Railroad at Park Road 70 in Palestine
