Fwd_ The Cat Connection Pop-up Cat Cafe in Dallas! First Ever!
The first purrmanent cat cafe in Texas has yet to open, but Dallas denizens who are doggedly devoted to the divine feline are grinning like the proverbial Cheshire cat at the news that The Big D’s first-ever pop-up cat cafe is just around the kitty corner.

On August 8th fans of felines will gather in a virtual clowder at The Cat Connection– a locally-based pet supply store and cat-only hotel and spa– for the grand opening as Saturdays are turned into Caturdays all month long.

Marking the launch of the four-weekend event, attendees will have the chance to enjoy tasty treats, specialty drinks, a visit by internet sensation Sauerkraut Kitty (a former rescue cat with feline hyperesthesia who now uses her celebrity status to shine a spotlight on the option of pet adoptions), and quality time with adorable adoptables from the largest no-kill shelter in North Texas, Operation Kindness. On following Caturdays potential pet parents can meet adoptables from DFW Purebred and Domestic Cat Rescue and Texas CARES. Visitors to the cat cafe can play with the cats and kittens for up to 20 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

NOTE: For the sake of everyone’s safety and enjoyment, no outside animals will be permitted at the pop-up event. Children will be allowed at the cat cafe under the supervision of a guardian.

Admission: Donations are not required, bout will be greatly appreciated, and will benefit area rescue organizations.

When: August 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2015 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: 14233 Inwood Road in Dallas
