Waco Restaurants
Waco, Texas

Hotels in Waco

With its big student population and huge number of drive-through visitors on I-35, Waco has just about every type of fast food imaginable plus a good selection of sit down restaurants as well. Here are a few of our favorites:

Health Camp

Perched right on the Waco traffic circle, this casual eatery has been selling burgers and fries, malts and shakes since 1949. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Location: 2601 Circle Road

Elite Circle Grille

Longtime Texans know the Elite from its highway signs that declared this was place where “the elite meet to eat.” That was back in the days when this eatery was simply the Elite Café. Dating back to 1914, the Elite held the title as Waco’s first restaurant with refrigeration and, later, the city’s first eatery with air-conditioning.

In 2003, the restaurant received a facelift that returned the eatery to its early days. Menu items now range from baby back ribs to lemon rosemary chicken to Gulf shrimp, dishes special enough to make you feel, well, pretty darn elite. The Elite is open for lunch and dinner daily.

Location: 2132 South Valley Mills Drive
